SERVICES PROVIDED:
Detailed Design
We strive to fully understand the requirements of our Clients and convert this into a simple design brief.
KJ Tait Engineers takes responsibility for the design and co-ordination of the engineering services and the delivery of detailed, co-ordinated design is a hallmark of our service. This delivery is reflected in a high level of repeat business.
We utilise computer simulation tools to predict the indoor environments in our buildings. IES4d software is used in all our offices to simulate temperature, daylight and energy consumption projections.
BREEAM / Sustainability
KJ Tait Engineers are registered Accredited Professional BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes Assessors, and offer this service both independently and for buildings of our own design. We also offer specialist sustainability consultancy and our background as designers permits us to undertake these services with a co-ordinated and practical approach.
M&E Quality Engineers
On key projects we commit our in-house Site Quality Engineers to monitor the workmanship of the engineering services installation. These specialists are former installation engineers who have a background in both electrical and mechanical contracting. Their role is to ensure that the installation work is of a high quality, to monitor progress against programme and to ensure project commissioning is successfully carried out.
Facilities
KJ Tait Facilities offers consultancy advice on the operation and maintenance of the engineering systems within buildings. We manage the maintenance of these systems for individual buildings and for institutional estates.
KJ Tait Facilities offers an in-house helpdesk which handles and processes call-out for site facilities managers and contractors. The helpdesk uses Concept Evolution CAFM system which has a web browser facility to enable building managers to track works’ progress. KJ Tait Facilities also offers an energy management service, which has been very successful in reducing the operating costs of buildings we manage.
KJ Tait Facilities incorporates registered Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) Assessors who provide EPC Assessments for England, Scotland and Wales. We also have registered Air Conditioning Inspectors.
