KJ Tait Engineers were involved in the Engineering Services Design of four Bio-Tech Laboratory Research projects on Cambridge Science Park. Each project is between 30,000ft² to 35,000ft² and comprises one third Office Space, Lecture Rooms, Social Space and two thirds Laboratory areas. Each project is two storey with a full height roof level Plantroom above the Laboratory block.

The specialist Laboratory areas include:

• X-Ray Rooms

• Bio-Reactor

Although each project is customised for each Tenant, the design is in a modular format to enable the facility to be customised for new Tenants or Sub-Tenants. Each project value is approximately £7m excluding loose fix equipment. The Projects were completed between 2003 and 2004.

Domantis Domantis is a biotechnology company engaged in the discovery and development of a new generation of proprietary protein products that incorporate the biological benefits and commercial advantages of both large proteins and small molecules.
