Inverness Medicentre

The Medicentre is a jointly funded building primarily for the Teaching and Education of Healthcare Professionals. It is the National Health Service’s wish to have a multi-professional environment within Regional Centres to address the acute problem of recruitment and retention of Medical Staff within the Highlands. When built, the Medicentre will be the first building in Scotland to fully embody this wish. The project is funded by the University of Stirling, NHS & Highlands and Islands Enterprise. The building will be fitted out for Clinical Skills, a Library, Lecture Theatre and offices for NHS staff. The 50,000ft 2 building is on two floors and is set around a landscaped courtyard. The architects are Bennetts Associates for concept design and Keppie for implementation design.

Phase 2 & Phase 3 of the Project will add a further 60,000ft 2 of laboratory space for a dentistry facility and incubator space for local life sciences companies.
