The Site is located within Edinburgh’s Exchange District and was speculatively developed by Scottish Widows Investment Partnership. Exchange Place comprised the creation of three separate office buildings forming a new courtyard around the Scottish Widows Headquarters. Each of the buildings is built to a Category A office specification for letting to tenants.
The total gross area of the offices is 277,000ft2 and the construction budget was c£55m. A common basement level, housing the Car Park, Plantrooms and service areas, lies beneath the offices.

High efficiency plant was been selected to minimize energy consumption. The Building achieved BREEAM ‘Very Good’.
Building 2 is located on the Fountainbridge/Semple Street Corner and the gross floor area totals 155,000ft2over seven floors. The building is fully air-conditioned using a 4 pipe fan coil unit system. High efficiency plant has been selected to minimize energy consumption. The Building achieved BREEAM ‘Very Good’.
Building 3 is a concave geometry, sitting in-board off the Streets and the gross floor area totals 40,000ft2 over four floors. The building is naturally ventilated using opening windows. High efficiency plant has been selected to minimise energy consumption. The Building achieved BREEAM ‘Excellent’.
